Squint

£0.00

Squint is a sweet little girl aged almost 2 years old (born approx 1/5/2024), she is neutered, chipped and vaccinated and looking for a home where there is another friendly cat to play with and someone home most of the day.

Squint loves people and other cats, she will play, she loves a fuss including gentle tummy rubs, and likes to supervise when you are dishing up her food. She likes to sleep on the bed at night as well.

Darling Squint was found abandoned in a field, taken to a local vet who tried to find her owner with no luck, they neutered her and treated all her wounds, she also had a split in her ear and a squint in her eye (hence her name). Her coat was thin and her skin was scabby. After a few weeks she came into our care. Her 1st foster carer soon noticed that once she was putting on weight Squint was walking strangely and at her appointment for her first jab it was discovered that she had luxating knee caps (where her knee caps dropped in and out of their sockets). She saw the orthopaedic vet and subsequently both knee caps were pinned in place but one at a time with 6 weeks of cage rest each time and 3 weeks in between (with a foster carer who was home all day). Her x rays have shown that the surgery has worked, her muscles have learnt how to walk properly, she can run and jump and play, she is a lovely weight, her coat is thick and glossy, her wounds are all healed and she is now ready for her new home. And she had her 2nd jab while waiting for her operation.

Squint loves other cats and other cats love Squint. Do you have a friendly feline friend looking for a playmate, she especially likes male cats. She can also live with older children but it is not known what she would be like with dogs.

Squint loves going outside so a safe environment for her to do so is required.
